Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Services and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.27% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO), which rose 3.67% or 5.80 points to trade at 164.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) added 2.70% or 50.00 points to end at 1900.00 and Manila Electric Co (PS:MER) was up 1.42% or 4.60 points to 328.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which fell 2.58% or 4.00 points to trade at 151.00 at the close. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) declined 2.40% or 0.460 points to end at 18.740 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was down 1.87% or 0.70 points to 36.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 116 to 94 and 43 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1298.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.53% or 0.32 to hit $60.16 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.31 to trade at $66.47 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.07% to 7.6616, while USD/PHP fell 0.20% to 49.909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 92.16.
