Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 6.37% or 8.0000 points to trade at 133.5000 at the close. Meanwhile, Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) added 3.19% or 0.300 points to end at 9.700 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was up 3.08% or 0.400 points to 13.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which fell 2.10% or 0.300 points to trade at 14.000 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 1.64% or 0.450 points to end at 27.000 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was down 1.32% or 2.800 points to 209.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 88 to 81 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.00% or 12.15 to $1204.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.76% or 0.80 to hit $44.62 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.42% or 0.66 to trade at $45.83 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.29% to 7.2237, while USD/PHP rose 0.42% to 49.760.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 101.33.
