Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Property, Banking & Financials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI), which rose 4.35% or 1.350 points to trade at 32.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 2.64% or 0.700 points to end at 27.200 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 2.40% or 1.75 points to 74.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which fell 8.58% or 1.280 points to trade at 13.640 at the close. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) declined 3.36% or 4.5000 points to end at 129.5000 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) was down 2.74% or 4.900 points to 174.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 94 to 89 and 47 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.75 to $1190.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $47.58 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.84% or 0.41 to trade at $48.59 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.37% to 7.1962, while USD/PHP fell 0.43% to 49.765.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 101.42.
