Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 5.50% or 2.40 points to trade at 46.00 at the close. Meanwhile, JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 3.30% or 2.450 points to end at 76.700 and San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) was up 2.04% or 2.00 points to 100.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP), which fell 2.92% or 1.25 points to trade at 41.50 at the close. First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) declined 2.36% or 0.46 points to end at 19.02 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) was down 2.01% or 3.10 points to 150.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 100 to 94 and 50 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.31 to $1271.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $50.64 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $57.09 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.32% to 7.6948, while USD/PHP rose 0.34% to 51.195.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.89.
