Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 3.05% or 2.100 points to trade at 71.000 at the close. Meanwhile, LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) added 2.57% or 0.480 points to end at 19.180 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was up 1.64% or 4.00 points to 247.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 2.70% or 1.00 points to trade at 36.00 at the close. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) declined 1.78% or 32.00 points to end at 1766.00 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was down 0.88% or 9.00 points to 1009.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 103 to 101 and 41 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.06% or 0.80 to $1268.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $58.13 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $64.58 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.10% to 7.6260, while USD/PHP rose 0.25% to 50.240.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 92.93.
