Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 2.52% or 6.00 points to trade at 244.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) added 2.36% or 0.240 points to end at 10.420 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was up 2.02% or 0.100 points to 5.060 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which fell 1.29% or 0.300 points to trade at 23.000 at the close. Bank of the Philippine Islands (PS:BPI) declined 0.95% or 1.00 points to end at 104.60 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was down 0.79% or 0.70 points to 87.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 103 to 87 and 55 ended unchanged.
Shares in Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.02% or 0.100 to 5.060.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.37% or 4.90 to $1335.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.95% or 0.45 to hit $47.74 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.11 to trade at $52.45 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.40% to 7.8031, while USD/PHP fell 0.07% to 51.137.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 92.63.
