Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 7.62% or 1.550 points to trade at 21.900 at the close. Meanwhile, DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) added 3.85% or 0.400 points to end at 10.800 and Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) was up 2.41% or 0.120 points to 5.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 2.02% or 0.60 points to trade at 29.15 at the close. GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) declined 2.00% or 20.00 points to end at 980.00 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) was down 1.67% or 25.00 points to 1475.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 107 to 88 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.02% or 0.60 to 29.15. Shares in GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.00% or 20.00 to 980.00. Shares in Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.67% or 25.00 to 1475.00.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.22% or 2.90 to $1309.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.22% or 0.15 to hit $68.28 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.33% or 0.24 to trade at $73.38 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.19% to 8.1282, while USD/PHP fell 0.11% to 51.688.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 92.40.
