Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Property and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS), which rose 3.22% or 2.400 points to trade at 76.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 1.68% or 0.70 points to end at 42.40 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) was up 1.49% or 30.00 points to 2050.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 7.89% or 3.30 points to trade at 38.50 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 2.57% or 0.150 points to end at 5.690 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was down 2.18% or 0.550 points to 24.650.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 114 to 89 and 37 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.20 to $1283.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.12% or 0.07 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $63.55 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.12% to 7.7224, while USD/PHP rose 0.05% to 51.275.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.73.
