Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 3.87% or 9.40 points to trade at 252.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 3.03% or 1.00 points to end at 34.00 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) was up 1.79% or 0.700 points to 39.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which fell 5.15% or 120.00 points to trade at 2210.00 at the close. Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) declined 3.45% or 5.00 points to end at 139.80 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was down 3.14% or 0.80 points to 24.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 100 to 77 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.45% or 5.00 to 139.80.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 4.30 to $1192.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.55% or 0.41 to hit $74.70 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.65 to trade at $84.56 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.69% to 7.8359, while USD/PHP rose 0.19% to 54.240.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.59.
