Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 3.36% or 0.290 points to trade at 8.980 at the close. Meanwhile, Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) added 3.22% or 0.290 points to end at 9.400 and Lt Group (PS:LTG) was up 2.44% or 0.340 points to 14.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC), which fell 6.13% or 3.950 points to trade at 60.500 at the close. Philex Mining (PS:PX) declined 1.91% or 0.120 points to end at 6.160 and Bk Of Phi Isla (PS:BPI) was down 0.96% or 0.95 points to 97.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 105 to 75 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.62% or 7.40 to $1194.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.81% or 0.48 to hit $60.45 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.38 to trade at $63.40 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.09% to 7.2542, while USD/PHP rose 0.09% to 45.045.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 94.50.
