Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which rose 3.66% or 41.00 points to trade at 1160.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 2.93% or 0.700 points to end at 24.600 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was up 2.38% or 5.80 points to 249.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SM Investments Corp (PS:SM), which fell 2.05% or 17.00 points to trade at 812.00 at the close. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) declined 1.24% or 25.00 points to end at 1995.00 and Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) was down 0.94% or 0.140 points to 14.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 109 to 95 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 5.16 to $1337.86 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.18% or 0.10 to trade at $54.37 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.15% to 7.8039, while USD/PHP rose 0.09% to 50.945.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 91.75.
