Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 4.57% or 0.580 points to trade at 13.260 at the close. Meanwhile, PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) added 2.33% or 34.00 points to end at 1495.00 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 1.99% or 1.55 points to 79.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which fell 2.69% or 0.260 points to trade at 9.420 at the close. Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) declined 1.53% or 0.550 points to end at 35.350 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was down 1.44% or 2.0000 points to 136.6000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 91 to 82 and 62 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.56% or 6.65 to $1183.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $53.70 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.37% or 0.21 to trade at $56.03 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.04% to 7.2417, while USD/PHP rose 0.04% to 49.820.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 100.69.
