Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 11.77% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 2.92% or 0.360 points to end at 12.700 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 0.24% or 0.020 points to 8.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 8.33% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.275 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 5.35% or 0.340 points to end at 6.010 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was down 4.85% or 0.080 points to 1.570.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 25 to 5 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $57.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.34% or 0.21 to hit $62.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.40 to trade at $1268.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.12% to 3.2355, while EUR/PEN fell 0.22% to 3.8242.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 93.28.
