Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 3.75% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.166 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.47% or 0.010 points to end at 0.690 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 1.30% or 0.003 points to 0.233 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 7.32% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.900 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 5.19% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 4.92% or 0.030 points to 0.580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 6 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.29% or 1.75 to $74.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $84.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1203.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.46% to 3.3265, while EUR/PEN rose 0.67% to 3.8390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 95.43.
