Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 5.16% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.265 at the close. Meanwhile, Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 2.94% or 0.340 points to end at 11.890 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 1.70% or 0.270 points to 16.110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which fell 6.67% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.30% or 0.040 points to end at 0.890 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 4.11% or 0.030 points to 0.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 10 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.87% or 1.21 to $65.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $77.32 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1301.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.17% to 3.2618, while EUR/PEN rose 0.45% to 3.8517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 93.43.
