Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 1.45% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.700 at the close. Meanwhile, ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) added 1.34% or 0.090 points to end at 6.800 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 1.30% or 0.160 points to 12.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 4.76% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.0600 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.53% or 0.030 points to end at 0.820 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was down 2.53% or 0.240 points to 9.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.57% or 0.38 to $67.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.60 to trade at $1305.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.51% to 3.2790, while EUR/PEN fell 1.24% to 3.7994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.46% at 94.93.
