Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 7.73% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.223 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 5.00% or 0.020 points to end at 0.420 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 3.19% or 0.030 points to 0.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 4.00% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.0720 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 3.58% or 7.57 points to end at 203.87 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was down 3.33% or 0.080 points to 2.320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.73% or 0.016 to 0.223.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $50.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.33 to trade at $1315.13 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2460, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8824.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 91.62.
