Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 5.95% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.196 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.98% or 0.070 points to end at 1.830 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 0.51% or 0.200 points to 39.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 9.09% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.0500 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 4.43% or 0.007 points to end at 0.151 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 3.57% or 0.020 points to 0.540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.87% or 0.62 to $72.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $81.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 12.70 to trade at $1186.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.3035, while EUR/PEN fell 0.66% to 3.8563.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.78% at 94.61.
