Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 5.17% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 2.90% or 0.110 points to end at 3.900 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was up 1.57% or 0.400 points to 25.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 6.35% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.590 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 5.48% or 0.040 points to end at 0.690 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was down 5.30% or 0.070 points to 1.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.49% or 0.34 to $68.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.00 to trade at $1207.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.2936, while EUR/PEN rose 0.42% to 3.8593.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.63.
