Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 3.45% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 1.82% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.0560 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.72% or 0.040 points to 2.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 4.62% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.620 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 3.47% or 0.050 points to end at 1.390 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 2.78% or 0.020 points to 0.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 8 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.41% or 0.28 to $68.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1222.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.15% to 3.2745, while EUR/PEN fell 0.18% to 3.8058.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.98.
