Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which rose 2.84% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Panoro (LM:PML) added 1.91% or 0.003 points to end at 0.160 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 1.59% or 0.65 points to 41.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 7.69% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.600 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 7.43% or 0.013 points to end at 0.162 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 4.44% or 0.080 points to 1.720.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 11 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Casa Grande (LM:CSG) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.69% or 0.300 to 3.600. Shares in Relapasa (LM:REL) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.43% or 0.013 to 0.162.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.22% or 1.56 to $68.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $78.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1206.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.46% to 3.3150, while EUR/PEN rose 0.17% to 3.8801.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 94.53.
