Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 10.17% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Meanwhile, Panoro (LM:PML) added 1.96% or 0.005 points to end at 0.260 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 1.88% or 0.030 points to 1.630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which fell 2.58% or 0.400 points to trade at 15.100 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 2.28% or 0.120 points to end at 5.150 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 1.70% or 0.050 points to 2.900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.77% or 0.47 to $60.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $64.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 6.00 to trade at $1326.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.2625, while EUR/PEN rose 0.71% to 4.0423.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 89.70.
