Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 2.21% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.770 at the close. Meanwhile, PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 1.30% or 0.00 points to end at 0.08 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 0.81% or 0.110 points to 13.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 15.00% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.0510 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 5.08% or 0.030 points to end at 0.560 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 5.06% or 0.021 points to 0.394.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 7 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Candente Copper (LM:DNT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 15.00% or 0.0090 to 0.0510. Shares in PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged to 52-week highs; unchanged 1.30% or 0.00 to 0.08. Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.08% or 0.030 to 0.560.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.45% or 0.97 to $67.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.25% or 0.90 to hit $72.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1219.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.37% to 3.2805, while EUR/PEN fell 1.14% to 3.7383.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.76% at 96.19.
