Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 9.80% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 8.89% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.0980 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 2.13% or 0.010 points to 0.480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 7.41% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.150 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 5.26% or 0.090 points to end at 1.620 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 3.95% or 0.030 points to 0.730.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 9 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.70% or 0.40 to $56.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.03% or 0.65 to hit $62.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 16.40 to trade at $1258.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.03% to 3.2325, while EUR/PEN rose 0.24% to 3.8016.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.69% at 93.41.
