Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Services and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 4.41% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.710 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.27% or 0.010 points to end at 0.800 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 1.25% or 0.006 points to 0.486 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 9.09% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.1000 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.45% or 0.010 points to end at 0.280 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was down 1.72% or 0.500 points to 28.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.27% or 0.010 to 0.800.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.98% or 0.57 to $57.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.85% or 0.54 to hit $62.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.90% or 11.70 to trade at $1283.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.06% to 3.2345, while EUR/PEN fell 0.15% to 3.8342.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.21.
