Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 7.06% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.273 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 4.94% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.0850 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 4.35% or 0.010 points to 0.240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 3.15% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 2.26% or 0.003 points to end at 0.130 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 2.21% or 0.030 points to 1.330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.06% or 0.018 to 0.273.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.83% or 1.34 to $48.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $53.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.08% or 14.32 to trade at $1344.72 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2360, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8545.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.28.
