Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 3.45% or 0.200 points to trade at 6.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.05% or 0.040 points to end at 1.350 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was up 2.80% or 0.150 points to 5.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which fell 3.23% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.59% or 0.420 points to end at 15.780 and Panoro (LM:PML) was down 1.62% or 0.005 points to 0.304.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.05% or 0.040 to 1.350. Shares in Milpo (LM:MIL) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.80% or 0.150 to 5.500.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.04% or 0.69 to $65.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.47% or 1.03 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.70 to trade at $1338.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.25% to 3.2165, while EUR/PEN fell 0.46% to 3.9738.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 89.20.
