Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as in the sectors led shares .
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 5.56% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.190 at the close. Meanwhile, Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 3.77% or 0.200 points to end at 5.500 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) was up 3.26% or 0.180 points to 5.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which fell 2.56% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.390 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.46% or 0.280 points to end at 11.090 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 2.29% or 0.030 points to 1.280.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.45% or 0.27 to $60.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $67.53 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.10 to trade at $1191.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.11% to 3.1430, while EUR/PEN rose 1.18% to 3.5364.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.13% at 94.19.
