Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 6.50% or 0.800 points to trade at 13.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.85% or 0.020 points to end at 0.540 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 3.85% or 0.015 points to 0.405 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 4.76% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.800 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) declined 4.64% or 1.800 points to end at 37.000 and Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi) was down 3.74% or 0.080 points to 2.060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.53% or 1.06 to $70.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $79.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 9.40 to trade at $1211.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.23% to 3.3302, while EUR/PEN rose 0.14% to 3.8735.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.82.
