Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.40% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 13.72% or 0.070 points to trade at 0.580 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 6.25% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.0850 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 5.13% or 0.060 points to 1.230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 1.96% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Bco Continenta (LM:CON) declined 0.93% or 0.040 points to end at 4.260 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 0.59% or 0.050 points to 8.350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 24 to 4 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atacocha (LM:ATB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 13.72% or 0.070 to 0.580. Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.13% or 0.060 to 1.230. Shares in Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) fell to all time highs; losing 0.59% or 0.050 to 8.350.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.15% or 1.11 to $50.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $56.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 10.91 to trade at $1273.89 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2700, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8405.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 93.48.
