Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.28% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 12.90% or 0.036 points to trade at 0.315 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 9.63% or 0.130 points to end at 1.480 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 5.46% or 0.100 points to 1.930 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 2.17% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.180 at the close. Edegel (LM:EDE) declined 1.71% or 0.040 points to end at 2.300 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) was down 1.27% or 0.100 points to 7.750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 24 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) rose to 52-week highs; rising 12.90% or 0.036 to 0.315. Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) rose to 3-years highs; up 9.63% or 0.130 to 1.480. Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.46% or 0.100 to 1.930.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.56% or 0.78 to $50.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $56.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.93 to trade at $1270.87 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2620, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8095.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 93.77.
