Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.18% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 15.38% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.0600 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 5.17% or 0.015 points to end at 0.305 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 3.83% or 7.20 points to 195.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 5.14% or 0.390 points to trade at 7.200 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) declined 3.78% or 0.013 points to end at 0.331 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 3.23% or 0.007 points to 0.210.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Credicorp (LM:BAP) rose to all time highs; rising 3.83% or 7.20 to 195.00. Shares in Relapasa (LM:REL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.23% or 0.007 to 0.210.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.83% or 0.41 to $48.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $51.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.23 to trade at $1265.93 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2415, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 93.48.
