Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 4.17% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 2.63% or 0.020 points to end at 0.780 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 2.17% or 0.170 points to 8.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which fell 1.88% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.610 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 1.82% or 0.010 points to end at 0.540 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 1.76% or 0.030 points to 1.670.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.63% or 0.020 to 0.780.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.97% or 1.32 to $65.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.22% or 0.95 to hit $76.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 7.10 to trade at $1293.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.2721, while EUR/PEN fell 0.08% to 3.8182.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 94.16.
