Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.81% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which rose 9.84% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 8.33% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.1300 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 7.07% or 1.950 points to 29.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 2.32% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.950 at the close. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 2.22% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 0.97% or 0.140 points to 14.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 24 to 5 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) rose to 3-years highs; rising 7.07% or 1.950 to 29.550.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.80% or 0.41 to $51.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.17% or 0.67 to hit $57.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.58 to trade at $1282.42 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN fell 0.37% to 3.8167.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 93.57.
