Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 7.69% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 6.10% or 0.050 points to end at 0.870 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 4.76% or 0.020 points to 0.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi), which fell 1.36% or 0.300 points to trade at 21.700 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.34% or 0.003 points to end at 0.221 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was down 0.42% or 0.010 points to 2.350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 6 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.30% or 0.22 to $74.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $78.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.50 to trade at $1258.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.2837, while EUR/PEN rose 0.01% to 3.8575.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.80.
