Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.68% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 34.62% or 0.0360 points to trade at 0.1400 at the close. Meanwhile, PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) added 16.67% or 0.01 points to end at 0.06 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was up 5.88% or 0.01 points to 0.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 0.79% or 0.010 points to trade at 1.250 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 0.33% or 0.69 points to end at 207.88 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 4.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 28 to 3 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Candente Copper (LM:DNT) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 34.62% or 0.0360 to 0.1400.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.89% or 0.46 to $51.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 7.03 to trade at $1297.57 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2475, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8358.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 93.14.
