Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Electricity and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.68% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL), which rose 5.97% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 5.45% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.1160 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 5.26% or 0.060 points to 1.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 4.29% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) declined 1.95% or 0.030 points to end at 1.510 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was down 0.86% or 0.41 points to 47.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 24 to 4 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.47% or 0.28 to $60.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.71% or 0.47 to hit $66.63 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.80 to trade at $1305.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.14% to 3.2405, while EUR/PEN rose 0.46% to 3.8959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 92.00.
