Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which rose 12.31% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 6.67% or 0.040 points to end at 0.640 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 4.59% or 0.050 points to 1.140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 1.92% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.040 at the close. Inretail Peru (LM:INR) declined 1.65% or 0.350 points to end at 20.850 and Panoro (LM:PML) was down 1.33% or 0.004 points to 0.296.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 7 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.16% or 1.23 to $58.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.23% or 0.77 to hit $63.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.48 to trade at $1292.18 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.09% to 3.2395, while EUR/PEN rose 0.51% to 3.8186.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.81% at 93.13.
