Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH), which rose 10.24% or 0.260 points to trade at 2.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 5.26% or 0.030 points to end at 0.600 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 2.68% or 5.80 points to 222.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 6.25% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.92% or 0.010 points to end at 0.245 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 2.38% or 0.040 points to 1.640.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH) rose to 52-week highs; rising 10.24% or 0.260 to 2.800.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.59% or 1.61 to $63.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $67.55 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.90 to trade at $1310.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.51% to 3.2570, while EUR/PEN fell 0.92% to 4.0014.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 90.01.
