Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 3.80% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Inretail Peru (LM:INR) added 1.96% or 0.500 points to end at 26.000 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 1.78% or 4.03 points to 230.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 2.56% or 0.005 points to end at 0.190 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was 2.53% or 0.00 points to 0.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 8 to 3 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Inretail Peru (LM:INR) rose to all time highs; up 1.96% or 0.500 to 26.000. Shares in PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged to 52-week highs; unchanged 2.53% or 0.00 to 0.08.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.94% or 0.65 to $68.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.33% or 0.24 to hit $73.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1225.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.12% to 3.2685, while EUR/PEN fell 0.31% to 3.7889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 94.88.
