Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 4.72% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.440 at the close. Meanwhile, Minsur (LM:MINi) added 3.57% or 0.050 points to end at 1.450 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.78% or 0.020 points to 0.740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 21.05% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.0450 at the close. Edegel (LM:EDE) declined 3.27% or 0.070 points to end at 2.070 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 2.53% or 0.004 points to 0.154.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Candente Copper (LM:DNT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 21.05% or 0.0120 to 0.0450. Shares in Relapasa (LM:REL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.53% or 0.004 to 0.154.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.15% or 0.79 to $69.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1202.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.32% to 3.3056, while EUR/PEN fell 0.63% to 3.8544.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.22.
