Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 2.53% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.810 at the close. Meanwhile, Inretail Peru (LM:INR) added 1.96% or 0.500 points to end at 26.000 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 1.78% or 4.02 points to 230.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which fell 7.59% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) declined 6.67% or 0.500 points to end at 7.000 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) was down 4.17% or 0.005 points to 0.115.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Inretail Peru (LM:INR) rose to all time highs; up 1.96% or 0.500 to 26.000. Shares in Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.67% or 0.500 to 7.000.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.45% or 0.31 to $68.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1221.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.13% to 3.2684, while EUR/PEN fell 0.28% to 3.7899.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.03.
