Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.41% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 4.48% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Unacem (LM:CEL) added 2.88% or 0.070 points to end at 2.500 and Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) was up 2.61% or 0.140 points to 5.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which fell 1.92% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.510 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 1.49% or 0.010 points to end at 0.660 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 0.88% or 0.010 points to 1.120.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.48% or 0.009 to 0.210.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.19% or 0.09 to $47.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 6.06 to trade at $1290.64 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2375, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8087.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.42.
