Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 5.62% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.094 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 4.07% or 0.560 points to end at 14.330 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 2.27% or 0.500 points to 22.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which fell 6.40% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.170 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 3.75% or 0.006 points to end at 0.154 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 3.57% or 0.020 points to 0.540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 7 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.53% or 0.38 to $71.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $80.82 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 8.50 to trade at $1230.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.3356, while EUR/PEN rose 0.38% to 3.8643.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 94.77.
