Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE), which rose 6.84% or 0.240 points to trade at 3.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.81% or 0.040 points to end at 1.090 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 3.39% or 0.010 points to 0.305 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 8.72% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.780 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 2.06% or 0.040 points to end at 1.900 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) was down 1.95% or 0.140 points to 7.040.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 13 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.84% or 0.240 to 3.750. Shares in ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.95% or 0.140 to 7.040.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.67% or 0.96 to $58.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.71% or 1.07 to hit $63.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.39 to trade at $1279.59 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.2345, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.8503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 92.82.
