Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.28% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which rose 26.53% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Minera Irl (LM:IRL) added 11.11% or 0.01 points to end at 0.08 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 3.80% or 0.300 points to 8.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE), which fell 3.10% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.810 at the close. Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL) declined 3.03% or 0.100 points to end at 3.200 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was down 2.20% or 0.020 points to 0.890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 12 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.93% or 0.44 to $47.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.65% or 0.34 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.92 to trade at $1295.92 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.2385, while EUR/PEN rose 0.76% to 3.8493.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.82% at 92.47.
