Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ), which rose 2.93% or 0.340 points to trade at 11.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Intergroup (LM:IFS) added 2.56% or 0.990 points to end at 39.600 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 2.53% or 5.53 points to 224.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which fell 3.04% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.230 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 2.86% or 0.020 points to end at 0.680 and Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) was down 2.52% or 0.030 points to 1.160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.86% or 0.020 to 0.680. Shares in Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.52% or 0.030 to 1.160.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.53% or 0.38 to $72.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.07% or 0.06 to hit $81.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1228.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.12% to 3.3316, while EUR/PEN fell 0.13% to 3.8592.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.78.
