Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 6.67% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.224 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 6.60% or 0.026 points to end at 0.420 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 5.13% or 0.040 points to 0.820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 5.45% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.0520 at the close. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 2.92% or 0.700 points to end at 23.300 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 1.28% or 0.010 points to 0.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 13 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.33% or 0.97 to $73.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.34% or 0.26 to hit $77.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1255.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.15% to 3.2830, while EUR/PEN rose 0.26% to 3.8569.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 93.76.
