Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI), which rose 3.68% or 0.240 points to trade at 6.760 at the close. Meanwhile, Inretail Peru (LM:INR) added 3.27% or 0.800 points to end at 25.300 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 1.22% or 0.500 points to 41.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 5.26% or 0.500 points to trade at 9.000 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 3.51% or 0.020 points to end at 0.550 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was 2.70% or 0.00 points to 0.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Inretail Peru (LM:INR) rose to all time highs; up 3.27% or 0.800 to 25.300.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.60% or 1.09 to $67.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $77.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1298.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.2715, while EUR/PEN rose 0.23% to 3.8213.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.95.
