Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 3.12% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.660 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 2.24% or 0.007 points to end at 0.320 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) was up 2.06% or 0.150 points to 7.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which fell 1.27% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.780 at the close. Inretail Peru (LM:INR) declined 0.72% or 0.150 points to end at 20.700 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was down 0.54% or 0.100 points to 18.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.88% or 0.51 to $58.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1291.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN rose 0.45% to 3.8357.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.04.
